Mirabaud Sailing Video Award is launched © Mirabaud Sailing Video Award

The Mirabaud Sailing Video of the Century celebrates the best sailing videos produced since 2000. In this very special year, most sailing events have been cancelled. This is why the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award innovates and will reward the best videos produced between 2000 and 2020. The deadline for entries is October 20, 2020.

The Mirabaud Sailing Video Award is launched! There is only one month left to enter the international competition and submit your best video clip.

Due to the current global situation, this year’s Mirabaud Sailing Video Award will reward the best sailing videos produced since 2000. Indeed, the organisers of the competition and its main sponsor, Banque Mirabaud, have decided to celebrate the best professionals in the field without them being penalised by a blank year, with barely any sailing event.

“We are looking forward to seeing new sailing videos that portray beautiful experiences and the emotions felt by the main characters and the producers during their creation. We can’t wait to watch fresh scenes derived from personal experiences”, says one of the members of the International Jury, Ludovica Anti (IT), director and head of operations at the Nautical Channel Network.

The contest is open to TV, film and video producers, cameramen, editors, filmmakers, TV production companies and independent producers from all over the world. The contest is also open to professional sailors who film their achievements during races.

Each video submitted is associated to its author – cameraman, filmmaker, editor. TV production companies can therefore submit as many videos as they wish as long as they are attributed to a different author.

The winners of the competition will be announced on Tuesday 24 November 2020.

The winners will be selected by an international jury, who will base their judgement on the following criteria:

  • General appreciation
  • Quality of the production
  • Originality
